Boys first deer hunt!

This year was definitely a different sort of deer hunt.  This year Kole was away, I had two little babies, and all three of us got sick.  Other than the obvious crap we went through it was still a very fun weekend.

Most of us, opening morning.

Lovin the twislers and being the the bronco! (ps check out how cute those huntin boots are:) )

They love to drive!!!

Especially this little guy!

All the grandkids with grandma Boosty

It was such nice weather this year!

They had so much fun!..... aside from being tired and sick and WAY OFF schedule and keeping me up at night.  lol

Gettin all cleaned up!

The kids put on a tribute for their uncle Kole.  They had a flag ceremony and a picture they passed around and a few of us even got to say some funny stories about him.  Karter was even wearing his old scout uniform.  Kole is going to love all these pictures!

Hanging with the babies...

Gettin dirty

Oh my heck!!  Kleyton was having a blast with his uncle Kasey!!

Kollin is so close to walking on his own!

All tuckered out!

Apples, Apples everywhere!!

Another one of the FUN FALL things I wanted to do this year was go apple picking.  My sister had the same idea so one Saturday we packed up the cars and headed into Springdale.
It was a cool morning but got warm fast!  It was still nice enough weather to enjoy being outside.

When we got home we had TONS of apples.

Donna dried some...

And I made apple butter!...

I also made applesauce but there are no pictures.

Check that off our list :)

Halloween Traditions

Ever since I was a little girl we have done this fun little Halloween gift giving tradition on and off.  I found the poem again last year in an old box, but because I was on bed rest I wasn't able to take it around to the neighbors.  So this year I made it a point to be one of my first October things to do!!

This is such a yummy Halloween snack mix and you can find the recipe HERE.

I've been eating it all night. hehehe

The poem is attached to the jars with ribbon.
We took a couple of them out tonight and my nieces had so much fun door bell ditching.  We might have to do a couple tomorrow too :)

the poem says:

It's Halloween month
The Haunting's begun
And this little ghost
Wants to join in the fun!

His chains may rattle
He'll shriek at your door--
You've got 24 hours
Not a moment more

The spirit of giving
Will end his tricks
Just give out 3 treats
And give them out quick!

Copy this page
to accompany each treat
And before you know it
You'll have the spell beat

Just one last thing
You'll have to do
To keep the spooks
 from haunting you--

Hang this ghost guarding your window
or on your front door
And the spooks will
bother you, no more!

If there's a ghost guarding your home
we'll all know
You've a fun haunting spirit
Just watch the fun grow!

(Share the "Spirit---
Find a house in the neighborhood
without a Ghost.  If you hurry, everyone
can be "haunted" by Halloween!)

HAPPY HAUNTING!!!

Click on this image so you can print and start this tradition for your families too!
(If it doesn't work then send send a comment with your e-mail and I will send you an attachment!)

I hope everyone is having a good October so far and you are able to do all the fun traditions your family grew up with too!!
