Halloween Traditions

Ever since I was a little girl we have done this fun little Halloween gift giving tradition on and off.  I found the poem again last year in an old box, but because I was on bed rest I wasn't able to take it around to the neighbors.  So this year I made it a point to be one of my first October things to do!!

This is such a yummy Halloween snack mix and you can find the recipe HERE.

I've been eating it all night. hehehe

The poem is attached to the jars with ribbon.
We took a couple of them out tonight and my nieces had so much fun door bell ditching.  We might have to do a couple tomorrow too :)

the poem says:

It's Halloween month
The Haunting's begun
And this little ghost
Wants to join in the fun!

His chains may rattle
He'll shriek at your door--
You've got 24 hours
Not a moment more

The spirit of giving
Will end his tricks
Just give out 3 treats
And give them out quick!

Copy this page
to accompany each treat
And before you know it
You'll have the spell beat

Just one last thing
You'll have to do
To keep the spooks
 from haunting you--

Hang this ghost guarding your window
or on your front door
And the spooks will
bother you, no more!

If there's a ghost guarding your home
we'll all know
You've a fun haunting spirit
Just watch the fun grow!

(Share the "Spirit---
Find a house in the neighborhood
without a Ghost.  If you hurry, everyone
can be "haunted" by Halloween!)

HAPPY HAUNTING!!!

Click on this image so you can print and start this tradition for your families too!
(If it doesn't work then send send a comment with your e-mail and I will send you an attachment!)

I hope everyone is having a good October so far and you are able to do all the fun traditions your family grew up with too!!
