A time to reflect..

It's amazing to me how the older I get the faster time flys by. It seems like only yesterday that my family was living in Levan and the first snowfall always seemed to land on a saturday. I loved being woken up by the smell of my mom's cooking and her cheery voice telling us that after breakfast we could play in the snow. I so desperatly wanted to play in the snow this year but sadly my parents live 5 1/2 hours away and I'm the one cooking breakfasts now. I've also been working like a mad woman ....12 days in a row, some of which were doubles... ugg... Now

the snow is practically all gone and I finally have a day off. So instead of playing with the dirty left over snow I've been cleaning, finishing up getting ready for christmas, and reflecting on my life so far. I have exaclty 3 months until I'm married....MARRIED!!! I am so ready and so excited to marry the love of my life but I just can't believe that I'm old enough, sometimes I still feel like I'm playing a game of life instead of actually living it. I now have 12 nieces and nephews, 2...maybe 3.. (I'm not sure yet) on the way and one that's already back with our heavenly father. And to top that all off in March I can add on Kole's 6 neices and nephews to my list. I can't belive how big everyone is getting and how many of them there are. I still remember MaKady being born and here we are 11 years later and she says she's to big to sit on santa's lap...! I just am so amazed with everything. I'm amazed at how far my family has come through all of our trials.. happiness.. and craziness. We are all growing up so fast and I just don't know where the time has gone. It's been 8 years (on the 15th) since our accident and the memory is still so strong in my mind. (for those of you who don't know which accident I'm refering to, it was a really bad car accident my dad, mary, and I got into just before christmas which almost cost us our lives). Every year around this time I become so emotional not just from that but all of the other hard times we have had and gone through as a family. It's hard to be away from everyone. I am just so extremly thankful for my family and everyone else who has been there to support us through everything. My family is huge and I couldn't imagine it any different, they and all of my experiences are what has made me who I am today. I know that I'm kind of rambling but I just wanted to let everyone know how greatful I am for them and to tell my family how much I love them and how much they mean to me. With out you I don't know what I would do. Christmas is in 4 days and I am so glad to say... I'll be home for Christmas..:) with Kole along for the ride.

What I do besides work (if there is such a thing)

This isn't going to be a very interesting post but I've been so busy with work I haven't done much...sorry.

So besides working this past week I've been doing a lot of Christmas-y things, like decorating, shopping, eating (lol), watching old christmas movies. Stuff like that. Kole and I put up a tree and I'm really getting into the spirit this year:)

Also this past weekend Kole was out of town for the guard so Hannah and I got all dolled up and had a fun girls night!

ThanksGiving!!

ThanksGiving was such a blast this year. It was a little different because I'm used to a huge thanksgiving at my uncles with tons of people and loud craziness going on. This year was spent with Kole's family in Kanab. His mom (Holly) just built a beautiful new house and James (Holly's Boyfriend) made an awesome dinner. It was those two, Kole and I, and Kole's brother and his family. That day was spent eating, watchin football, and a long nap for me:) The rest of the weekend we hung around Kanab with Kole's friends from highschool,. It was a lot of fun.

When we came back we put up the christmas tree and watched lots of christmas movies, We even went and saw four- christmases on saturday. And when we went to wal mart I couldn't help but get Emmy this stocking. She goes absolutely nuts when she see's the color orange, She loves the stuff.

Little Stinker!!!

So the other morning I was getting ready for work and in a mad rush to do so (because I hate being late). I was in my room putting on my apron when I realized I hadn't seen Emmy in a while. (She normally is trying to play with my shoes laces while I tie them or with the strings on my apron) I shrugged my shoulders thinkin ,"probably asleep somewhere." I grabbed my scheduling notebook and headed out my bedroom door to find this:

My little kitten was just chillin on the highest shelf in my house with her arms hanging low with not a care in the world. Crazy kitty knows she's not supposed to get on the counters and thats the only way to get on this high shelf. She does this little me-me sound instead of a meow when she knows she's doin something wrong and thats exaclty what she was doing when I was taking these.

She probably didn't know why I was taking pictures of her instead of spraying her with the squirt bottle like normal when she does stuff she's not supposed to. I did give her a chance to get down but when she just looked at me and did more me-me-me sounds and climbed further into the shelf behind things I had to spray her:( i don't like to but she hasn't been up there since. She's a little stinker sometimes but she's so dang cute while she does it....

Also Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!! I haven't really gone to bed yet, It's only 12:25 am and I don't have work tomorrow (technically today) so it's okay to stay up late . hehehe I'll post thanksgiving pictures later. Love ya! and good night!

Updates!

I don't have any new pictures but with everything going on it's hard to bust out the camera. This last week has been busy. First Kole and I went to Vegas on Wednesday for a Shalee and George's wedding. It was a blast and everyone had such a fun time staying at the same hotel. We came back thursday (with a new pair of shoes...lol). I worked a double on friday. Saturday morning I got to babysit Madison and Karter, and then Danielle the two kids, kole and I went to the festival of trees. All the trees were amazing! We went in early to Ruby's to watch the BYU/ Utah game.!! It was so intense! about half time I had to start workin so I missed a little but every chance I got I was watchin that t.v. And lo and behold Utah won!!!! YEAH baby!! Later after work I went to a going away party for my friend Chelsea, It was sad... I'm gonna miss her a lot!. Sunday was my day off so I spent it cleaning,. I did get to take a break and go to Twilight!!!! It was so so so good, and Kole liked it too:) I play Bunko once a month with a bunch of girls and this month it was my turn to host it. I cleaned the whole house and made 3 kinds of pizza's, (pepperoni, chicken ranch, and a dessert pizza) It was a busy day but so fun!!
Wedding planning is way more work than anyone should ever have to do! I'm just so grateful for my sisters, Kole, and my mom who are helping out with everything. I already have my dress ordered, my shoes, cake topper, flowers(Mary is putti them together), Donna's doing my cake and taking my picuters, I have some decorations, and the place we're getting married booked. But that's barraly a quarter of what we need to do!!! I'm stressin out, it's less than 4 months away now!!

Halloween!!!

Yay for Dressing up!
Halloween for me was a really, really long day. I worked a double shift at work which was kind of slow because most people were way to busy doing costume parades at school, or other stuff to go out and eat. Lucky for me I got a big table of witch, bone collector, dead soldier, vampire, princess, red power ranger, a goblin, and a Kole:) Kole's brother and his wife and their two kids came down for the weekend. they all dressed up and with my honey and their other brother and his two kids came to visit me and Danielle at work. It was fun to see all of them. It was a nice break for me and Dan to have family there. I was told that when I got off I had to dress up. So when I got off at 7:30 I wore this....

I make a hot mob boss don't I? There is a jacket with it too but for some reason it's been way too warm to wear anything like that.

The pictures of the kids were taken earlier and we sadly don't have one of Karter cuz he didn't want his picture taken, And by the time Kole and I got out to Danielle's house everyone was tired and in their Jammies.. I guess it was a long day for the kids and I got stuck in my costume.. LOL it's all good.

Pumpkin Night.

So Monday night Kole, Hannah, Bryce, and I did our October tradition... (well this is only our second year doing it.. so it's new, lol) We had dinner and carved pumpkins at my house while watching Casper and then we all went to the haunted house in the mall parking lot. And oh-my-heck!!! I about peed my pants I was so scared! I love scary things like that:) It was such a fun night!

A Two point and a wedding proposal!!!

This weekend was probably the best weekend ever!!

Kole and I went to the deer hunt with his whole family. They have a cabin up east of Zion in the Ponderosa. It's beautiful up there and one of my favorite spots is on the very top of this hill that over looks everything, Called Piney Knoll. Well opening day I asked Kole if he wanted to take the 4-wheeler up there just to look out. He agreed but he'd been acting like he was kind of upset with me all day, Not looking me in the eye... not standing near me very long... That kind of thing.. He was really quiet all the way up, about 3/4 of the way up the hill I gave him a big squeeze and felt somethin wierd in his pocket. And when I asked him about it he sounded kind of testy and said... Don't worry about it. it's nothin. I had no idea what it could be bacause it was such a wierd oblong shape so I just brushed it off and gave him another squeeze, making sure not to touch what was oh-so-special in that vest pocket of his. When we got to the top I jumped off and was looking off the mountain over everything when Kole said my name and said he'd been hiding something from me.. I thought "OH boy what can this be"... Well he started fiddleing in that pocket and starting to get on one knee and then I knew exactly what was going on and totally lost it.. I just started bawling, didn't even look at the ring and just went straight to hugging him, he asked me and I said yes! The ring is absolutly amazing and exactly what I would have picked if I had known. He did such a good job:)

So the wedding will be in March sometime and I am freaking out, trying to figure out how everything is going to be set up and decorated, but that is why I'm so happy I have lots of sisters and future sister-in-laws that are crafty and have great idea's. I started talking about stuff yesterday with Kole trying to figure out colors and what all the boys and girls are gonna wear and he said... Okay we can talk about this stuff but you only get one night a week with me to discuss it.... lol what a funny boy! It's cool though, I pretty much have it all in my mind, all he has to do is show up in a tux:)

The rest of the weekend was good too. On sunday Kole and I drove into his Uncle Grant's station (Mnt. Carmel Junction) so I could call my family. A lot of them already knew because when Kole called to ask my dad for his blessing my sister Julie was with him:) They all sounded to excited for their baby sis!! And my brother Shane (who lives in Alaska and I haven't seen him in a few years) is even going to be there. Hence the reason we chose March:)

On Monday I shot my first deer ever!!!! It was a two point but a really good size. We'll get some good steaks, pot roasts, and jerky from him:) Kole even made me help him gut the thing, I was elbows deep in guts and blood... ewww!!!

All in all it was such an amazing weekend!!

I finished my deer hunting quilt:) My grandma Violet was getting rid of a ton of fabric and no one wanted like 20 yards of this bright orange fabric so I decided I could do something with it.. so here is the finished product.!!!

Friday we Stayed at Donna's house in Santaquin.

On Saturday we went all the way up north to see the rest of the fam. Mary had the opportunity to go through the Temple. Congrats Mary!!! And after we all went to the cemetary as family to celebrate her little boy Jordans birthday. We all wrote notes on balloons and let them go:) We love you, and miss you Jordan!!!









We had a pot luck lunch at my brother's house in West Valley!














All in all it was a great weekend! I love my family so much and I wish I could see them more.

Catchin Up on September...

So I finally have a few pictures from Kole's trip to bulgaria to put on here... He had a good time. They were mostly on the base so he didn't get to see a whole lot but one day he got to go to a castle and then another day they went to the beach. I only have two pictures here for now One is of Kole by the Black sea, There were a lot more but it's europe so there were a lot of topless girls in the backround so I couldn't put more on here.. The second picture is of the tent they stayed in for the 3 weeks they were there.. I'll put a few more on later.

A few weeks ago the circus came to town!! It was Kole's first time ever going to one so it was exciting.. We went with my sis Hannah and her husband Bryce.

12 week challenge update:

So I started the 12 week challenge and I kind of lost the challenge really early on., (Sorry Naomi) But I'm happy to say that I started all over again. And it's the end of my week one. I've done a really good job so far, I've worked out every single morning:) Which is amazing because I really hate working out.. I mean really really,... I hate it. It's a chore. But I did it and I'm gonna do it all over again 11 more weeks of a chore...lol I took before pictures and maybe if there is a big enough difference at the end of my challenge I'll show you the before and after... My biggest struggle this week is the sugar.. I crave sugar, after every meal I feel like i need dessert, so I'm going to try my hardest to cut back... a lot. I'll let you know how it goes:)

Kole's Home!!!!

Yay!!! Kole's Home:)
He wasn't supposed to be home till late last night but while I was getting ready for work yesterday morning my doorbell starts going off. Now my doorbell is not your average doorbell... I can barely hear it from the back of my house But when you do it sounds like someone is playing operation.. You know that annoying sound when you hit the two metal parts together... Anyway, most people know to just knock really hard but it kept going off... So I ran to see who it was, and to my happy surprise it was my soldier, home from Bulgaria dressed handsomely in his uniform and all smiles. It was good to see him before work but sucked cuz work dragged on like no other. Anyway I will post some pictures for those of you who don't know what Bulgaria looks like(I know I didn't) ...later. It was a long three weeks!! and the longest we've ever been apart. So today I am grateful that he's home and proud of my soldier who is willing to do anything for the sake of his country:)

Lonely Sunday...

Well this weekend has been so fun. My sister Mary and her daughter Trinity came to town to visit. We hung around the house, went shopping, ate a lot of food and just had a fun time:) But sadly they left today, which leaves me alone on a sunday night and now that The house is almost clean I don't know what to do except...
