10 months and staying kinda busy!

My babies turned 10 months old today!!!
Seriously!?!  Where has the time gone.  It seems like it was just yesterday that we found out we were even having twins and now look at them!!
Aren't they the cutest kids IN THE WORLD!!

Kollin is the big brother in every way..  He's bigger than Kleyton, likes to steal toys, is pretty rough and tumble and ALL over the place!  Now that he's figured out how to do his wormy crawl thing I can't keep him still for the life of me.  I have to vacuum and pick up and re-pick up the house all the time because he can get to anything, and if that anything is small enough to go in his mouth it will!  Yesterday he learned how to pull himself up to standing so my brother in law Jared helped me lower his crib.  i don't think Kollin likes it very much because he can't look into Kleytons crib anymore and that was starting to be a regular routine...  Put him in his crib, he'd roll over and peek into Kleyton's crib and when he would fall asleep Kollin would finally lay down and go to sleep too.  He likes to talk on the phone with his daddy and LOVES to scream!  It drives me nuts how much he squawks and screams but he finds it hilarious! And he has 2 teeth!

Kleyton is still my sweet little baby.  He will cuddle with you no matter what time of day it is.  he is soooo close to crawling but just can't quite move that way yet.  Instead of crawling he rolls to get close to what he wants.  I was told that Kole rolled like that as a baby too!  I guess it's true.. like father like son!  Kleyton is my picky little eater.  He hates baby mushy food.  He would much rather eat what I'm eating and feed himself but he barely has one tiny tooth so I do what I can.  Yesterday he fed himself a waffle and eggs for breakfast and loved every bit of it!  He is such an easy going baby (most of the time)  Kollin and my nephew Lucas will take a toy from him and he'll just shrug it off and grab something else.  But that doesn't mean he doesn't have a temper because MAN that kid has some lungs on him when he does cry or get upset!

They are getting so big and I can't even believe it!  Love you boys!

These next pictures are only a few from the last month...

The Saturday before school started we decided that it would be fun to use my fire pit and roast marshmallows and make smores.  They sure were yummy!

Love this picture of Kollin.  He wouldn't go to sleep that night,  He gets to excited when things are going on.

My boys love to play with their cousin Lucas!!

I told you Kollin was getting into everything!

One day I was washing dishes and talking on the phone while Lucas was outside eating a Popsicle  and my boys were inside playing.  A few minutes later I looked out the back door to see how Lucas was and I found this....

Silly boys!

DIY

I've been trying to keep myself busy. Well.... busier than I already am. Aside from taking care of 3 little boys during the day I am trying to catch up on a bunch of projects that I've been wanting to do, or have already started and life just seems to get in the way. I spend 99% of my time with my kids and my little projects are my 1% of me time!

I've always wanted a garden and now that I have my own yard I really have no excuse, except for the fact that I have NO idea how to garden. So I'm starting slow, this year I decided that pumpkins would be fun so I got all my stuff and planted them in little pots and they grew, surprisingly enough.
But then I had a problem... They were to big for the pots and I hadn't gotten around to making grow boxes I hadn't asked someone to make grow boxes.
They kept getting taller with fewer and fewer leaves and I knew they were about to be goners. So because I wasn't about to take 3 little boys to home depot for wood by myself and by the time my sister and her girls got back from school and work, all i wanna do is eat dinner, give my boys baths and rest for the night... I had to think on my feet and become my own little DIY'er.
I thought of these....

They are ammo boxes and have been sitting in my closet for years. They used to be decoration in my old house on a really tall self and we just used them for my nephew Koopers 1 year pics. I didn't know when I would use them again and they seemed to be a perfect size!
I got out the old can of paint from this project and started painting away... (PS don't wear your wedding ring when you are painting with bare hands and using oil based paint. And if you do, make sure you have this stuff on hand, it works wonders!)
So I let it all dry, filled em up with dirt and replanted the pumpkins and I'm seriously amazed at how fast they are growing now!!
(Don't mind my long grass and the dirt surrounding it... It's another one of my projects.)

Yay for learning how to garden and being a DIY-er!

Wrapping up our summer vacation....

The first weekend of August was our last BIG summer trip.  Yay!  It was a fun, busy summer but I am so ready to get and stay on a schedule and be at home.  I am such a home body and traveling so much has made me really home sick.  So yay for summer being over and yay for fall time weather(come soon please!!)

Anyway,  we went up north with our Ramsay family and had such a fun weekend.
It all started with a drive up on Friday.
The boys and I met up with Kris and Danielle in Nephi for a pit stop and a break from sitting in the car.
We then drove up to northern utah... And I know I'm horrible but I forgot the town we stopped in and the restaurant we ate in (Dan can you help me remember?!?) anyway it was a yummy little ma and pa restaurant with good burgers and fry sauce.  My boys are doing so good in high chairs now that eating out is actually fun again.!  plus they like big people food so feeding them bits and pieces of my food keeps them quiet long enough for me to have some adult conversation.

After lunch we drove out to The Hogal Zoo and met up with the rest of our family who came up (or down) for the weekend.

It was such a hot afternoon but with full bellies and plenty of water to drink and plenty of people wanting to hold the babies it was a fun night...

That night we all went our separate ways to get some dinner and some shut eye!
We were able to stay with my sister-in-law Shiloh and her family in their camp trailer parked in the Lagoon RV camp grounds.  It was a nice night and the boys had a lot of fun playing outside.  My nephew and niece even made friends with this cute little Korean girl (Leah) who was camping with her family next to us.  She spoke pretty good English and we found out that her dad sells shoes and was selling them in the United states for a few months.  What a crazy life some people live.  The kids especially had fun with Leah's i pad and all the fun games on it:)

Kollin just loves his uncle BJ.

The next morning we hung out and ate breakfast and slowly got ready for the BIG, BIG day waiting for us at Lagoon.

Can I just say EXPENSIVE, especially because you have to pay for babies!!!!  Well I guess you don't HAVE to pay for them but if you wanna take them on any rides you have to pay full price regardless of how many rides and how old they are.  Ugh!!!  I didn't want my boys to just have to sit in the heat all day so we did what we had to do and thankfully we did because it made the day fun for them.
They both went on the Log ride...

Kollin fell asleep in the morning so Kleyton went on the TERRORIDE with me.  We all took turns going on big rides and waiting with the babies and making sure everyone went on what they wanted too.  A couple hours later we all went our separate ways again to eat lunch and change for the water park.. (Sorry, I was AWFUL with my camera a didn't take any pics of the rest of the day :(  )  So we spent a couple hours at the water park which was perfect after such a warm morning and gave everyone a break.  When we were done instead of going back to the trailer for dinner like I thought, we all ended up going on ride after ride and babies were getting hungry and my legs started hurting (because walking around in wet swim shorts is no bueno if you catch my drift....eh!  can I say pain!!)  So while everyone went on a couple rides I didn't really want to go on I found a nice shady grassy spot and fed my boys and my nephew cheesy bread sticks, graham crackers, and Gatorade for dinner..(I know,.. mom of the year award.. lol)  THEY LOVED IT!!
We all went on a bunch more rides and I bought some nice dry pajama pants.  Kleyton fell asleep because it was getting late but Kollin was loving all the lights and people!  While I went on the 'Wicked' ride (which is my favorite!) my sister in law and mother in law took Kollin on some fun toddler rides..  Cute little guy rode in the baby boat all by himself!  Momma is so proud!!  By that time Kollin was freaking out and I was tired and Shy took them back to the trailer and the rides were about to shut down for the night so off to the RV park I went.  After a break down and tears and then some random, hilarious conversations with BJ and Shy I crashed out for the night.

The next morning was packing and saying our good byes outside everyone else's hotel.
Then instead of driving the 5 hours home I headed north to my parents and spent a couple days.

It was nice to hang out with everyone on my Bawden side of the family too.

On Monday I wanted to go on an adventure because this was my last summer trip and all so My dad and I took my boys and my niece Brittany to the 'Tree house children's museum' in Ogden.  It was AWESOME!!!!  If I was a little kid I could spend hours in there!  Only problem was that it closed at 5 and we got there at 4:15.  So we made a quick trip of it which was just perfect for my boys.

Then we went a couple blocks away to the BEST ice cream shop ever!!  Farrs Ice cream...mmmm my mouth is watering just thinking about it!

That night we went swimming at Crystal Hot springs and relaxed in the warm water....

On our way home I stopped in to see one of my sisters and she took me to a little handy craft shop.  She was carrying her baby so we put mine in her stroller.... they though it was a pretty good time  :)

So there ya have it... our LONG, BUSY, CRAZY last trip of the summer!!
WE hope you all had a great summer~ Love the RAMSAYS!
