Day 4.... Fishing!!!

Day 4 was another early one... like 4am early!  My brother had rented a boat so we could go fishing that day.  I decided to do the morning fish because I knew my boys would be asleep for a lot of it and my mom and all my sisters could watch them while I went with the boys.

It was pretty cold in Alaska.  Mostly in the high 40s but it actually wasn't too bad.

There were eagles EVERYWHERE!!  This one kept following us, flying from tree to tree and we moved slowly in the water.

In the morning we didn't catch anything, except for this jelly fish type thingy! 

We were out a lot longer then I expected and I even got a nap in,.  there is just something about being on a boat that makes me relax.

By the time we got back it was low tide.  I was surprised at how low the water actually got.  From the dock to the main building you practically had to pull yourself up the ramp!  I was definitely not wearing the right shoes and kept slipping.

Later in the afternoon while everyone else went to take their turn I went on a walk with my dad and the boys.  The hills in Alaska are Killer and I couldn't make it very far because I am soooo out of shape but it was fun to have that time with my dad.

Isn't he so cute with Kollin on his shoulders!?  he had him like that the whole walk.  Kollin LOVED it:)

My brother lives on Sesame street..  We kept our eyes open for Bert and Ernie but never saw them... darn it!

They caught a bunch of what they call Rock fish while they were out in the afternoon.  My mom and her helpers battered and deep fried it and we had yummy fish taco's for dinner!  Oh my the sea food sure is good there!!!
